What specific things does a child have to do each day to be successful in my class?

In order to do those things, what do they have to know?

Of those things that children have to do to be successful, which among them mirror the kinds of things they already do as members of their unique communities or groups?

What are some ways I can make connections or parallels between in-class success criteria and the things that they already do to be successful in their lives outside of school?

Is there anything that might prevent any of my kids from regularly doing the things that lead to in-class success?
