1. Title

An element of narrative that summarizes or gives clue what the story is about. It needs to be catchy to capture the interest of the readers.

2.Characters

These are the ones that give life to the story.

A. Characters according to Quality of Role

1. Protagonist- A character who basically portrays the positive side of life, possessing positive values.
2. Antagonist- A character who is wicked and will bring problem or conflict especially in the life of the protagonist.

B. Kinds of character according to change of role

1. Dynamic, Full or Round character- A character who undergoes the ups and downs and the roller coaster of life.
2. Static or flat character- A character that does not undergo any development or change at all.

C. Kinds of character according to Quantity of Role

1. Primary Character- These are characters who play important roles.
2. Secondary Character- Characters that adds more reality and practicality in the story.

3.Setting

-It is the time and place the story happened. However, in the setting, we can also include the tone and mood.

Tone- The attitude of the writer

Mood-The feelings the reader could get while reading the narrative.

4.Plot

The series of events in the story.

5.Theme

an idea that recurs in or pervades a work of art or literature.
