How a number line can help.
A number line for integers is different it has zero in the middle.
On the right side there are the positive numbers that is the side with the plus.
On the left side there is the negative numbers that is the side with the minus.
It can help because if there is a question that says what is the opposite of___you will have to know how many spaces from zero it is.
For example 2 is the opposite of -2
