Pronounce names correctly

Let the student coach you on how to pronounce their name (even if it takes a few days)

If you say it wrong, keep saying it wrong because you're the teacher and they should understand

Learn each student's name.

Learn about the story behind their name.

Tell them what you think their name really means

Make fun of their name

Laugh when you can't pronounce their name and ask if they could come up with a nickname that is easier to pronounce
