A scale drawing is a representation of an object or space that maintains the proportions of the original, using a specific ratio to convert measurements.

Calculate the cost per ounce for each product, then subtract the smaller cost from the larger cost.

A reduction in size means that the copied image is smaller than the original, often expressed as a ratio or percentage.

The scale factor is 10.5 inches ÷ 12 inches = 0.875.

To convert map measurements to actual distances, multiply the measurement on the map by the scale factor (e.g., 1 cm = 3 km).

Multiply 5.4 cm by 3 km/cm to get 16.2 km.
