Estimating is the process of finding an approximate value that is close to the actual value, often used when exact calculations are not necessary.

Rounding is the process of adjusting a number to a nearby specified value, often to make calculations easier.

Place value is the value of a digit based on its position within a number, determining its contribution to the overall value.

Look at the digit in the ones place. If it is 5 or greater, round up; if it is less than 5, round down.
