Energy, Renewable, and Nonrenewable Resources

A renewable resource is a resource that will always be available, so you can use as much as you need.

Kinetic energy is the energy of motion, like riding your bike down a hill.

Water is not a fossil fuel.

Natural Gas is not a renewable resource.

Energy is what makes things go or happen.

A nonrenewable resource is a resource that, once you use it, it's gone and you can't use it anymore.

Examples of renewable resources include wind, solar energy, and water.

Examples of nonrenewable resources include coal, oil, and natural gas.

Potential energy is stored energy, like a bike at the top of a hill before it goes down.

Solar energy is energy from the sun that can be used to generate electricity.
