Chapter 1- Forensic Science and Observation

Perception is the process of interpreting information received from the senses. It can be influenced by previous experiences and is not always accurate.

Forensic investigators are responsible for systematic observation and documentation, reporting and communicating observations, and collecting and examining evidence, but they do not confirm a suspect's guilt.

Perception can be affected by previous experiences, biases, and the context in which information is received.
