What is poetry?

A Group of two or more lines that form a unit in a poem, similar to a paragraph in prose writing.

A character that the poet has created. One who uses the words 'I' and 'me'.

The repetition of accented vowel sounds, as in thing and sing, cry and sky.

The pattern of stressed and unstressed syllables in a line of poetry

The repetition of consonant sounds at the beginnings of words to achieve emphasis or a certain effect

A word or line that is repeated in a poem to create a certain effect

Words and phrases that appeal to the reader's five senses

The speaker's attitude toward the subject that can usually be described in a single word.
