Types of sentences

Declarative sentences have exclamation marks at the end.

Declarative sentences end with a full stop and convey information, provide facts, or offer explanations.

An interrogative sentence asks a question. Example: "Michael, have you seen my book?"

Imperative sentences end with a period or exclamation point and are called directives as they provide direction.

Exclamatory sentences express emotions like happiness or anger. Example: "Michael, it's way past your bedtime!"
